By car from London,
The preferred route, using mostly motorways, takes you through France into Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro and on to Bulgaria (2,548kms; 25 hours, 52 minutes). From Plovdiv to Pamporovo by car, take the 86 road to Asenovgrad, then continue on the 86 road to Pamporovo (85kms; 1 hour, 25 minutes).

Bulgarian State Railways
Provides a train service that covers most cities in the country, but it is somewhat slow and unreliable. Trains arriving at Plovdiv station (85kms from the resort) have convenient access to the two intercity bus terminals; Rodopi serves the mountain resorts and is accessible via the underground walkway.

TRANSPORTATION
A Regular bus service is operating between Sofia and Pamporovo and Plovdiv and Pamporovo during the day. Shuttle service and private transfers are also available at decent rates - as low as 12 EUR per person. A private transfer between Plovdiv and Pamporovo takes between 1 and 2 hours.

The nearest international airport to the resort of Pamporovo is at Plovdiv (12kms from the city centre). British Airways and other major European carriers fly here. A regular bus service at the resort connects it to the major Bulgarian cities of Plovdiv and Sofia, and to nearby Smolyan, Chepelare and Devin.
